Due to the turbulent economic and political situation in Russia in the mid 1990s, many companies didn’t have to complete all the legal documentation that is typically required.

Now that circumstances have changed those that have not caught up need to do so to make sure they are in compliance with all documentation and legal requirements (including constituent documents and internal standard acts). This can help avoid delays (in projects) and possible fines/fees.

Apart from the common law breaches, such breaches not only decrease the investment attractiveness of the companies, but also make them vulnerable for unfriendly takeovers.
